Neem Oil

Weevils, beetles and potato moths are among the insects that neem leaves, oil or extract repel. Weevils and flour beetles are prevented from entering the sack when it is treated with neem oil. Neem oil kills bean-seed beetles during the egg-stage. These are a host of insects most commonly found attacking legumes. A solution of Neem oil and water is prepared by adding 15-30 ml to 1 liter of water and stirring well. The emulsifier must be properly added and mixed prior oil droplets start to float. A sprayer is used to spray this Neem oil solution.
